About FigureLoansApp

An independent editorial team producing in-depth reviews, calculators, and resource guides for Figure Loans products.

Who we are

FigureLoansApp is an independent review and resource website focused on Figure Loans products — including the Figure HELOC, crypto-backed loans, and cash-out refinance. We research and summarize Figure Loans products for U.S. homeowners, using sources that anyone can check.

We are not affiliated with Figure Technology Solutions, Figure Lending LLC, or any of their subsidiaries. We do not have access to internal Figure Loans product data. All reviews are based on Figure Lending's published product information, public regulatory records such as NMLS Consumer Access and the CFPB complaint database, and independent reviews from established finance publications, which we cite by name. We have not taken out a Figure loan ourselves.

Our editorial standards

  • Independence: Our editorial opinions are not influenced by advertising relationships or affiliate compensation. We write about Figure Loans products as they actually work, including the trade-offs.
  • Fact-checking: Every claim about Figure Loans is sourced from Figure Lending documentation, the CFPB complaint database, NMLS Consumer Access, SEC filings, or published consumer research. We cite primary sources where possible.
  • Transparency: We disclose affiliate relationships on every page where they exist, in accordance with FTC 16 CFR Part 255. We never fabricate reviews, ratings, or user testimonials.
  • Timely updates: Figure Loans products change frequently. We update review pages when lender terms change, and every page shows its last-updated date.

Our review methodology

Every Figure Loans product review follows the same evaluation structure:

  1. Product documentation review — pulled from Figure Lending's current public pages
  2. Rate and fee verification — cross-referenced against published APR ranges and recent consumer disclosures
  3. Consumer complaint review — CFPB, BBB, Trustpilot, and NMLS Consumer Access records examined for patterns
  4. Competitive comparison — Figure Loans benchmarked against at least five peer HELOC and home equity lenders
  5. Editorial rating — assigned on a 1 to 5 scale based on cost, speed, transparency, borrower fit, and customer experience

Our team

Articles on FigureLoansApp are produced collectively by our editorial team rather than attributed to individual named writers. This reflects our commitment to editorial integrity — reviews reflect consensus across the team rather than any single contributor's opinion. Each page is checked against the sources it cites before publishing, and shows the date it was last checked.

How we make money

FigureLoansApp is an advertising-supported publication. We may receive compensation when readers apply for financial products through affiliate links on our site. This compensation does not influence our editorial opinions, product rankings, or review ratings. Products that pay affiliate commissions are not given preferential coverage.

How we approach financial product coverage

Financial products are not consumer electronics. A HELOC decision touches an applicant's home, their monthly budget for years to come, and their family's exposure to interest rate risk. We treat every piece of coverage with that weight in mind. Our writing emphasizes clarity over marketing language, acknowledges genuine trade-offs rather than papering over them, and takes seriously the fact that readers may act on what they read.

We do not use urgency language, countdown timers, synthetic scarcity, or testimonials of uncertain provenance. We do not fabricate borrower stories or paint lenders in rosy terms they have not earned. If a product has a credible class-action complaint pending, we say so. If a company has disclosed a data breach, we flag it. If a published rate range looks optimistic compared to real-world applicant results, we note that gap.

Our content review cycle

We revisit articles when lender terms, regulations, or complaint trends change. Each article shows the date it was last checked, so you can judge how current it is.

Each article carries a last-updated date in the header. Older articles that are no longer accurate are either refreshed or retired. We do not leave outdated rate ranges or discontinued product references in evergreen content.

Why we focus on this one lender

Specialization is a choice. A general personal-finance publication has to cover thousands of products at surface level; a focused site can go deeper on one lender and surface detail that would never fit into a round-up. For readers specifically researching home equity options from this particular lender, that depth matters more than breadth. We can trace how a specific product has evolved over several years, document each state license as it is granted or withdrawn, and compare current terms against the terms a borrower would have seen eighteen months ago.

Depth also makes our comparison work more honest. When we recommend a borrower consider an alternative lender, we are not just citing a name — we summarize that lender's published terms and cite the independent reviews we relied on, so you can verify them yourself. That context informs the comparison.
